There's a dude on Ebay selling new, pierburg, 4 bar fuel pumps... Put one in my corrado and it's doing great so far. The level sender does clip to the side of the pump housing a little differently, but it does still work.
I checked in ETKA to verify and all G60s (US) definitely all came with 3 bar FPRs. Also, they do list the Single pump Pierburg and VDO pumps with comments \"4 Bar\".
Easier said than done to install the B6 fuel pump into the corrado tank. The pump fits but the top flange's outer edge needs to be ground to fit the locking collar. Then the inside diameter of the locking collar has to be opened up.
I recently installed a Bosch 040 fuel pump (which is relayed). Now prior to when I start the car I have about 12.7v, once it starts It sits at around 11.9v because he alternator doesn't kick on.
since the original pump (aged) is hardly safe over 200whp imo; esp with increased rail pressure.
So I've changed out my original fuel pump (Pierburg) on my 90 Corrado back in Jan 2024. Replaced it with the Delphi complete unit with pump and sender. Now less than 2 years later I need a new pump.
