The front and rear bearings were replaced, new rotors and calipers for both, with mk4 rear calipers and the larger 11.3” driver’s edition calipers and rotors from the brake bible, with their new lines, pads
Best Brake discs for Volkswagen Corrado
Best bang for buck brake setup on a Corrado/Mk3 Front: 11.3 DE's with Tyrol Sport Bushings and a proper pad and brembo OE rotors Rear: Stock rear, Mk4 Calipers, proper pads, and brembo OE rotors. Rotor material is too often overlooked and a must for proper performance. Brembo seems to have the best metallurgy IMO.
Rallye 1.8T you are the man! Thanks for the tip and saving me a lot of time and money. The mk5 312x25mm rotors work on my setup. Only thing I have to do is run one thin washer between the bracket and spindle.
Zimmerman front rotors with ebc pads. Stainless braided brake lines on all four corners and ate super blue brake fluid.
Hey guys new flash, "rust free coating" wairs of your rotors veeeeeery fast, it might last a month. MIGHT think about it. ive had all three on various cars. right now i have zimmermans on my Corrado, and am very vappy with there performance. about the same as slotted
Zimmerman is a good brand in my opinion. Brembo quality has gone downhill fast with lots of manufacture in China. I bought a set of Raybestos (Made in USA; new old stock I think) and they warped after about 6 months with EBC Reds (I do not recommend EBC). The ATE rotors are OK for street but racing has cause some of them to break apart at the welds on the hats.
I'm actually running corrado g60 rotors right now that i redrilled to 5 bolt since my last set warped.
I pumped the pedal 100 times but they were still spongy. My worn-out original brakes were better.
