Valeo SMF if you’re sticking with NA power. It’s a little noisier but much better feel than a DMF, and much cheaper also.
Gearbox is a major step up in almost all metrics; no jerkyness when launching from 1st gear a lot smoother idle, less noise, vibrations. I have a lightweight SMF, probably with DMF it will be even less long gears, feels super nice on the highway the car is super quiet, feel like its 500-1000 rpm less while cruising. didnt check mpg yet though acceleration is butter smooth, especially pulling 4th gear, big wow feels like you're taking of with a private jet Some downsides clutch pedal is stiff cable shifting isnt as smooth as with the 020
I used to have a maxi and some grip tape on the flywheel, and just kicking the flywheel fast, like flicking a bic lighter itd start up
A minha Megane 1.5 dCi levou o bimassa completo da Valeo e ficou por esses valores.
I'm running a Sachs with an RSR kit and it's been flawless for many years and miles.
I've read lots of reviews about how the flywheel chatters horribly. I never noticed it on this car, it's very quiet, though I do have OEM mounts. I was surprised to find it wasn't a DMF. Just something to consider
Do you know if valeo flywheel is a good and reliable flywheel? Can you share with me your experience if you had the same issue ?
I have this flywheel, there is no chatter when driving the car for only 30min but when taking a long trip and everything heats up it does chatter unfortunately...
I got a Valeo flywheel. but it didn't fit.
That is extremely high! The labor time is 9.2 hours. Bolts from the dealerships are always out of line. You can purchase a dual mass flywheel kit for $1100, if that what the factory one is. Sachs makes some clutch kits with a flywheel that sells for $750 online.
