I got one in 2018 used ofc. Spent its entire life in the Nevada desert being driven by a maniac Russian. But he took care of it so I went for it. $5k and 100k miles. She's close to 200k now and has only ever not started one time, cuz of the famous sticky immobilizer. Just knocked the relay around and it started up. Only repairs have been the standard maintenance like brakes, tires, oil, struts when I first got it etc. I did crack the oil pan recently but that was my own fault, big dip in the road, too fast, too dark, raining, low car, you know the deal. Still drove it around for 3 days before I noticed, lost about a quart of oil slow dripping. Hairline crack on the corner. Fixed that for a few hundred bucks. I've driven across the US in it, it's reliable as can be. After changing the oil pan, and therefore all the oil and coolant, it runs like brand new. Inline 5 is bulletproof. Most of its common issues are pretty minor and easily preventable like the sunroof drain, PCV, compressor clutch, etc.
