My 5 cylinder Volvo V60 with snow tires was the best winter car I've ever driven.

He only checks my tires right before a long trip, but I regularly maintain my own car just because it’s a new Volvo hybrid and I *LOVE* that car so damn much that I’ll only let the certified mechanic touch it
I drive a 2006 xc70 and while I have regular tires on I absolutely hate how much I lose traction on even the slightest pedal use. I have to baby every turn and intersection so I don't lose grip. Really disappointed with this vehicle.
It might be your tires. I have a 2020 XC60 with new summer and winter tires and it\u2019s an absolute treat to drive in any weather. My 2021 S60 on the other hand, has near-end-of-life all seasons and it performs great on dry road but awful on anything wet.
I think it's either a skill or wrong setting issue.
Stock tires are a sham, super poor quality. My first xc-60’s didn’t last 20k and were awful in wet conditions.
It could bark the tires coming out of a roundabout ;-)
We also seem to go through tires quicker than I would expect. Other than that, it's been dead reliable with just regular oil changes.
Also after running ATs on my XC90, I could never go back to not having all that extra meat on the outside edges - especially on the fronts.
