I suggest using only the OEM Hyundai part or a Denso part if you decide to replace this part.

Had the same symptoms in my 2013 Elantra GT and it ended up being the crankshaft position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor. Replaced 2x on 2017, both times similar symptoms. The last time I also replaced cam sensors, coils and plugs (had just hit 100k). Did it all for roughly $125 and about an hour. Oil consumption is down, mileage is up and running much smoother.
