I swear by my split beam torque wrenches. They don't go out of calibration and they're a lot cheaper than digital torque wrenches.

The snap-on digital torque wrench i use registers torque applied while using it, and through the final 90 degree turns i tested the torque values for all 4 stretch mount bolts. All of them were different. After the final 90, one bolt hit 80ftlb, one 72ftlb, 75ftlb, and one only 65ftlb. Doesnt seem consistant at all in my eyes.
Pros: registers torque applied
Cons: torque values different
