I do all my own maintenance on my 991.1 and it’s surprisingly easy. Oil change is probably the easiest of any car I’ve ever owned and 40k service is pretty straightforward.

The 06 cayman is unique to the 987s because Porsche revised the service interval for oil changes on the 07 and 08 cars. IIRC the 06 had a recommended oil change interval or 20k miles. As a result they’re a little more prone to IMS and bore scoring issues than the later cars.
My 1997 911 takes 11 quarts
I’ll probably get downvoted for this, but since my SS isn’t under warranty anymore, I use the euro stuff. Good enough for Porsche, good enough for my Chevy.
my porsche cayenne v6 has been amazing thus far. bought it w 70k miles now approaching 115k. change the oil every 5k miles, put quality gas 93 in it, and your good to go.
The 'Porsche Approved Oil' comment reminded me that using a thicker oil (5w40) than the original recommendation (0w40) greatly reduced the seepage issue in my Boxster.
