Denso for my runner
Best Spark plug for Toyota 4runner
I had this very same problem where on my 07 V6 the acceleration and power was off. I had replaced my spark plugs with NGK Iridium plugs and after dealing with the horrible performance I decided to change them out for OEM platinum (copper) plugs. This made a huge difference and could immediately tell a night and day difference. Regained the torque and power that was missing.
I have an 02 4runner with 289,500 miles. I've had it for the last 106,000. Replaced the timing belt/ water pump twice. Replaced spark plugs twice. New brakes a few times.
I drive a 01 4runner and I run NGK plugs and wires. Almost 300k on the dash.
You can check the forums and it'll say the same thing your asking . It comes down to personal reference ,everyone (including myself ) that I run with in our 3rd gens we run NGK . Just make sure they are dual pronged and gapped correctly and you'll be just fine .
I wish my Toyota 4Runner spark plug service was that cheap in the Toyota dealer. I was quoted $800 parts + labor for OEM Denso.
