I went with the latest mini version from VIOFO. For the price, it felt like a great value: 4K 30fps + HDR and good image quality.

Pros: great value, good image quality

Blackvue will also be grand, and fits a bit better in my ND with it tucked behind the rearview mirror so I dont take up any valuable windshield space.

Pros: good fit, discreet

I got a Viofo A119 Mini 2. Starvis 2 sensor means much better video quality at low light.

Pros: better low light video quality

I just bought a new Rav 4 and paid $4500 for the protection package, tinting and dash cam. The BlackVue 800 Gold, front and rear cameras, fitted by Pacific Toyota in Cairns was $1500.

Cons: paid too much in labour
Vehicle: Toyota

VIOFO Dash cam

The first camera I had was the Viofo 229. The car battery would drain where my car wouldn't start unless I used my battery starter.

Cons: drained car battery
Vehicle: Honda
