Reliability has been second to none, requiring only an ABS sensor and windscreen washer pump (other than servicing and basic wear & tear stuff (brakes & tyres)).

Pros: Reliability has been great

I moved to Austria around 2 years ago, got a 2012 2.2 diesel civic with 144000 on the clock, now it sits at 187k.

If I could turn back the clock I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

It's ugly, not fun to drive but in 40k km I drove in the last 2 years i "invested" in winter tiers, abs sensor(50€) and regular oil changes (at 10k).

Pros: regular oil changes
Cons: ugly, not fun to drive
Vehicle: Honda Civic
Mileage: 144000 km

So far there hasn’t been any issue at all apart from a faulty ABS sensor which fxed itself after before I had time to repair it - reair cost 0€????. In Europe, the maintenance and repair cost is very low (not sure about the newer models).

Pros: fixed itself
Cons: faulty

I had an 01 gt from 90k miles to 110k miles, in that time the tstat housing cracked which was significant because its a plastic housing molded into the intake, meaning I needed a whole new intake. Then spark plug #4 ejected through the hood which 4.6s and 5.4s are notorious for (something to do with inadequate threads). It was an Ohio car so the frame was getting to a point where it was pretty sketch to jack it up due to rust. The ABS sensor module failed as well which was incredibly expensive to source and a general PITA to replace

Pros: null
Cons: ABS sensor failed
Vehicle: Ford Mustang
Mileage: 100000 km

I also have a 2021 Transit and have the same problem with those lights. Every year I have to get ABS sensors "replaced" which makes the lights go away but like I said, they come back every year. Speaking with the Ford mechs, they say it’s a known issue.

Cons: lights come back every year
Vehicle: Ford Transit
