Reviews of OEM Volkswagen manual transmission

Our 04 Jetta TDI is still running great and doing its thing. We did swap it to a manual transmission which is actually fairly straight forward with these vehicles too.

I knew the DSG suited the Golf R better, but I got one with a manual because it will be the desirable one in 20 years

The 2.0 manual transmission will go forever. My 2002 2.0 manual made it to 297,000 before it was murdered by a F-250 who rear ended me.

Very common swap and very well documented. We did the swap on my husband's '01 Jetta TDI and it wasn't bad at all.

I do recommend the manual transmission for the most fun, lower purchasing cost, lower maintenance cost, and ~10% better fuel economy.
