Got time to install my replacement clockspring and my 2012 vw beetle sterling wheel setup. It gives me the shape of a mk7 wheel, while still having the mk6 button layout. Everything works apart from clearing airbag light that been there for a year.

im same ,vw just told me i need clock spring, but no lights on dash, nothing,no cruise control, horn, infact nothing works, but got a 2nd hand one fitted it,but airbag light has come on??? but still no horn so cannot pass mot
I had a steering control module fault on my sportwagen with that same "cruise control" fault. My cruise control would intermittently turn off on long drives on the freeway and you couldn't turn it back on without key cycling the car, very annoying. I took it in and they replaced the clock spring. Faults are gone, no more cruise control issues.
I changed clock spring a few days ago, before i changed, my airbag was on, the horn was not working but there was no issue with ESP. After i changed clock spring, Horn starts to work, but Airbag light still on and ESP light on now. I changed the fuses, but still the same.
