2. Chevron Techron once every oil change or every 3000 ish miles or so to maintain the fuel system going clean.
It's B.S. Get a bottle of Chevron Techron in Advance auto or auto zone for like $10-$12 and pour it in your gas tank at your next fill up. Done.
Have had a little luck with Chevron Techron.
I use Mid grade (89 octane, I think), mostly just to keep the engine cleaner. Years ago, I had an Audi 4000 and was having dirty injector problems, my Independent VW/Audi mechanic suggested using at least mid-grade.
The consensus among them is that most fuels are of equal quality, with the main difference being the additives each brand puts in their's (Techron, V-Power, etc).
Ron Ananian, AKA 'The Car Doctor', highly recommends using Techron by Chevron in the gas tank every 3,000 miles to prevent 'caked on' build-up of carbon.
For good measure, throw in a bottle of Chevron Techron, Redline SI-1, Gumout Regane, etc for additional cleaning power (from polyether amine)
