2013-2015 have axle recalls…they’ll get fix free but you’ll need to invest in wheel hubs on the front due to the axles failing it’ll mess up the wheel hubs. Also the sensor on the battery it’s something about sending the correct volts to the alternator that’s a big issue and could cause electrical fires. Was also a recall. Besides that just check the car undercarriage for surface rust on calipers they fail a lot due to abunch of surface rust and debris getting into it over time and it’ll act like it’s seized up but really all the grease is just gone over time. Get good quality ceramic pads these cars squeal like a pig with the cheap ones. Also valve cover gasket is a must always will leak eventually every 30k miles or so. Best bet is getting a 2016 &up tbh
Best Brake pads for Honda Accord
If you want something good get raybestos have them in my 8th gen accord and they are above oem.
Power Stop Z23 pads and Z17 Geomet rotors. It’s like a whole new car - I know that may sound weird but it really drives better, I’m hyper aware of my car and the ride is smoother. I did it at 69k miles, and I wish I had done it earlier.
Accord G8 2010 - Dejo un listado todo repuestos originales en Honda, algunos los compre sin factura y me bajaron un 20-30%, otros solo pedí precio y no los compre todavía. \-4 Pastillas originales Akebono - 330K
Rock auto parts are good. Powerstop is a good brand currently running raybestos on my 2008 accord.
I've bought Honda brakes for my 09 Accord several years ago, perfect fit and function. go with name brand, doesn't have to be top tier but OEM is a good starting point. I've just always gone with Raybestos for all my cars
I got these for my accord v6 and it works great it a little on the loud side tho but other then that I like them
I've had mine for like 60k miles. 87k ish on the clock. Just changed everything. Yearly inspection and the shop rejected it for brakes. Brake installer said the weren't that bad. I bought an R1 Concepts kit. Front and rear rotors plus pads all around. $220 shipped on Walmart+ (also found on Amazon or Rock Auto). The shop had a brakes special: $160 installed for new pads. Since I had the parts and rotors take like 30 seconds to swap out, they charged me for two brake installs at $150 each. So all in installed was like $550 after taxes. For reference: the shop that rejected it quoted something like $500 for the front and $500 for the rear. And I don't think it was all new everything.
I had rears replaced at 40k. At 60k now. I’ve always had a rumbling sound and vibration when breaking from 60-55 mph (around 57) since 40k.
my 08 Accord went through rear pads every 18-20K miles. They were way too soft.
