I had a 2016 accord sport that i just sold with over 200k miles. It has all its original belts, water pump, valves, thermostats, and sensors. The only major thing i changed was the alternator. I did regular maintenance and fluid changes with no issues and of course batteries, brakes, and rotors.
Best Alternator for Honda Accord
Instead of waiting for it to go bad on me should I order the $200 Bosch one off rockauto now (shipping takes 3-5 days) if I don\u2019t then I\u2019m stuck going and paying for that at a parts store. The Bosch one also comes with a 2 year warranty and roadside assistance if anything goes wrong with it.
the oem has been good for 5 years now
Denso for sure, will last as long as the original, I think 20 years was a good life. The no name and parts store brand ones almost always fail shortly after install
Had an 04 Euro/Accord for 4 or so years, great car, shocks and springs were too soft so made it floaty on open road so was lowered to decrease body roll with wider rims and it was an absolute pleasure to drive especially with the tiptronic for the twisty stuff. Alternator was all that failed on it.
Had an 06 accord euro, put 80k on it, sold it at 320k.
Only had alternator and starter motor done in that time.
My alternator just died at 83k miles but otherwise it’s been painless I love the car
Just had my 2008 V6 Accord written off after getting rear ended. It had plenty of power and was relaxing to drive, but was a bit soft when it got twisty - but only Rimutaka Hill/Pahiatua track level twisty, and that was coming from a Legacy GTB.
The equipment level is pretty basic but after 190k I'd only had to replace the power steering pump and alternator, and the only interior wear was on the centre console lid.
I have a 19 Accord. The alternator is buried under the intake manifold. It has to come off. That means draining the cooling system.
Way too much, 2007 accord my son paid 425 for a denso alt.
