A couple weeks ago the oil filter housing and a tie rod end was replaced under warranty along with resealing the oil pan.
Owner reviews for tie rod ends
I lowered my car around 1.5" (ill have to check) I'm running delphi tie rod ends and they have lasted10k miles.
I've had Delphi tie rod ends for 10k+ miles now and they are still good.
If you're OK with aftermarket, then these Moog should be just fine.
Moog tie rod ends usually have a zerk for greasing and they need to be pre greased. If you didn't grease them no wonder they went TU. Do the replacement again but get a grease gun and some appropriate grease and they'll last a lil longer hehe
ID has had nearly zero running costs except for tires and electricity, and one tie rod end that needed replacement early.
I had a tie rod end... fail.
I wasn't able to torque the nut in the end. Swapped to original BMW tie rod ends and bam, torqued immediately no issues. Those were Meyle HD parts so apparently even Meyle HD is shit now, returning them...
I bought Moog tie rod ends thinking "how bad can they be?" Very bad apparently once they broke in, worse than worn out ones. My drag link just flops around when I'm going down the road and the truck is difficult to control, my tires are wearing uneven and fast.
WIFE HAD TIEROD ENDS COME LOOSE.
