audi sydney is just careless. just little things like forgetting to put coolant in, or putting engine belts on. I thought after the first time anyone could make a mistake, then they did it again. Only issues i had with the car were caused by audi.

Sitting in the driveway and waiting for your coolant temps to go up is illegal here in Germany.

(I could be wrong, but) the temperature gauge you're likely seeing is the coolant temp and this only takes under ~5 minutes to warm up. Oil takes about 10-15 minutes of driving in the summer to get to a temp where you should start pushing the engine.

13’ Q5 3.0T here. LONG driveway (1.3 miles of dirt) is my warm up. After coolant temp is up to normal I just drive it normal. Never get crazy with a COLD motor/trans, but “warmup” is a way less important thing than it was ages ago.

Coolant I've never had any issues mixing dexcool with any of the stock coolant from Audi or VW.
