Commenting here for others to find. 5TA915105B has dimensions that align with Group 48/H6 specs. I bought an Odyssey 48-720 and it was a perfect fit. Bonus tip - FCP Euro has it for $250 and it includes their lifetime warranty.
Best Battery for Volkswagen Tiguan
VW lists 3 batteries, 1 AGM (68 Ah, Varta) and 2 flooded (72 Ah, Varta and 59 Ah, Exide) that may be used.
I had U350100 as a soft fault in my Tiguan's system for a while about a year ago. I had it throw a hard fault and CEL for the same code twice. I found this to be caused by a fatiguing main battery. Not able to hold a high enough charge constantly to keep all the systems happy. I replaced and coded the replacement battery (000-915-105-CC-DSP) from VW. Made sure to change it's coding to know it was an AGM battery I installed in the Tiguan. Fault has not returned since.
My factory Banner battery was showing multiple signs of End of Life in my '18 SEL-P so I decided to upgrade it to AGM. I opted to put the largest battery in that would physically fit and that turned out to be an H7, sort of. It went from 69Ah to 80Ah capacity and from 680A to 1,000A power delivery.
After only 17500 miles, my '18 Tig's battery decided that it's not going to hold a charge very well anymore. The original battery was an EFB from Banner. The current batteries available are Varta/Johnson Controls (vendor: JCB) made in Germany P/N: 000.915.105.CC. Hopefully the AGM will perform better.
I installed the old battery after recharging it and it has been working great until now. The new battery was faulty and I ended up returning it for a refund.
My Tiguan factory battery was an Exide and it failed after 2 years, mostly in the Northeast US weather.
