Delphi or motorcraft (OEM) work great

while I had no codes indicating a bad MAF sensor on my recently purchased 2008 Crown Vic, it had some driveability/performance/transmission shifting issues and on a whim I decided to take the (same part number) MAF sensor out of my 2010 Escape and install it in the Vic. Got super lucky they happened to use the exact same part even though they were different models. Anyway, replacing the MAF sensor immediately made the car run and drive a lot better.

I went through 2 on our old Volvo until I bought the oem part and it lasted for the remainder of the time we had the car.

Finally bought the maf from Nissan and the car ran like new again.

hooked up a $20M? Snap On analyzer and it id'd an intermittant mass air flow sensor and downstream o2 sensor ..good to go.

If you find nothing then take a shot at the mass but buy Bosch new not rebuilt they are such problems they are considered a tune up part on a V.W.

Had the same problem with my 01 jetta. After I had replaced my mass air flow sensor, I forgot to set the idle air vol. So I took it to the dealer and had them set it for me and now my problem is gone.

It seemed to be the P0102, \"Mass Air Flow sensor low input\" that had thrown the CEL. It starts from cold smelling very rich, and doesn't rev very well under no load, exhibiting a miss.

everyone told me \" its your mass air flow sensor\" ... so paid 250 $$ for a new bosch one and it didnt make any difference at all ...
