2016 ST1, 205k miles, green filter and hood struts. That’s it. Keep your oil changed, and there’s nothing wrong with a little “spirited” driving here and there, that’s what the car was built to do. They handle soo nice.
Best Air filter for Ford Focus
The only mods I ever did was a green air filter, symposer delete, and put in yellow led fog lights. It has only needed a few small things fixed, other than normal maintained stuff like fluid changes, brakes, tires, whatever.
Delete the sound symposer and get an aftermarket air filter. I’m partial to the Green filter. Have had it for 100k and clean it every third oil change.
Ran a K&N for years in my Focus SVT, put on a supercharger and blew it up…with 110,000 K&N filter miles the cylinders still had cross hatching. I suspect that means the filter did its job
I didn't have any kind of smells at all after my Green filter install.
I have a Green Filter and have never had this problem
I installed K&N. Great replacement for the stock filter. Noticed a bit more induction whistle and the car definitely feels like it breathes better.
The Green Filter has an immediately noticeable higher quality and not having to replace it will have it pay for itself in time.
I've got the green filter. It's the same filter, just a different color. I like it, it adds just a little bit of intake/turbo noise. I run mine with the airbox lid on.
